EP201 Putting the Bike Back Together

The crew is throwing a party for Edwardo. He is moving to Ohio to run his family’s motel. He and Loretta have divorced, and he has custody of their son, Ezekiel, making cinematography work an impossibility. At the party, the crew finds out that not only is Edwardo leaving the crew, but so is Bowers. Dan has a new girlfriend, Stevie, on one arm, while his other elbow is broken, inhibiting him from being the lead for NEFU’s second season.

EP202 From A to McKenzie

McKenzie has a great life outside of Roger’s shadow at NewStream. Surprisingly, everyone loves McKenzie and he and his wife have a remarkable love. When he arrives at his office, he finds a new assistant, Stevie, who is also Dan Dane’s new girlfriend. Roger Dane is approached by a mysterious woman, Liz Carlisle. She wants to buy NEFU from Roger. When she finds out that Roger no longer owns NEFU, she exits. Roger is tasks McKenzie with starting a new mountain biking show for NewStream. McKenzie begins to form his crew. He visits Dan to attempt to lure him back to NewStream. Dan refuses and is angry when he finds out his dad is only interested in him because his show is a success. He drives over to Roger’s house to confront his father.

EP203 A Byke Walks into a Bar

McKenzie is out searching for a star for his show. He enters the Break Bike Shop and encounters Joe Dash working on a bike. McKenzie finds that Joe was once one-half of the Olympic Tandem Mountain Biking team, J-Squared. McKenzie books Joe to star in his new show. Meanwhile, the NEFU crew has headed out to Bike Night at the local Boulder Bar. Lindsay meets the other half of J-Squared, Jane van Dyke, and she is starstruck. Lindsay was a big fan of J-Squared. She convinces Jane to go on a ride with her. Lindsay asks Jane to be the new star of NEFU.

EP204 Seeing Double

On their first shoot with Jane, the crew finally meets Roger Dinkins, who Dan mis-named Roger Deakins. Dinkins is a sexist, homophobic misanthrope. He shows up with an old Bolex for the filming. Robin calls Edwardo for help. He explains that he has a kit in Lindsay’s basement. Lindsay sends Claire to get the camera, making Claire furious. The NEFU crew runs into McKenzie’s crew and notices something very queer about McKenzie’s people. His entire crew resembles the NEFU crew. At this point, Lindsay and the rest of her crew find out that McKenzie is making a mountain biking show. As the NEFU crew marvels at their doppelgängers, Claire and Lindsay have a fight. Joe and Jane find that they are working on rival shows, they argue and Jane storms away.

EP205 It Takes Two to Tandem

This is the exciting, yet tragic tale of Olympic Tandem Mountain Bike Team, J-Squared. Joe and Jane met in college and became riding partners. They excelled and left college to turn professional tadem racers. They became Olympians. The two begin bickering over Jane’s solo career. Jane has achieved fame on her own, but Joe has not. They part ways and Jane has a cycling accident that leads her to leave the profession.

EP206 Too Hot to Handle

Both crews are hard at work on production for their respective shows. While McKenzie is having a great time, nailing everything, and living his best life, Lindsay is struggling. Claire is suspicious of Lindsay’s interest in Jane. Lindsay becomes angry with Claire for losing her temper and she tells Claire to leave. Lindsay asks Robin to pick up the slack. Roger Dinkins disappears and Dan must take over as cinematographer.

EP207 Everything’s Coming Up McKenzie

Lindsay is trying to finish a shoot, but she is irritable. She criticizes Jane’s riding. Claire is starting up her own project. McKenzie is thrilled that he’s wrapped his production.  He is having a party where the entire crew is celebrating him. Edwardo is staying with Lindsay so that he can attend Bike Con.

EP208 Season Finale: NEFU Takes Bike Con?

In the season finale, both crews are lured to bike con to present their season premieres. Neither group knows that the other has been invited. Joe and Jane are invited to bike con to speak, not knowing that they were invited as a pair. They end up on stage in front of an audience, re-hashing their breakdown. The two crews meet up in a theater for the premiere and each wonders what the other is doing there.
